Who this covers
This policy covers the scrubpony command line tool and this website, both developed and operated by NorseHorse, an independent developer. Contact: NorseHorse@norsehor.se.
What the tool collects
Nothing, and it has no way to. ScrubPony contains no network code — no HTTP client, no telemetry, no update check, no crash reporter, no license check. It does not create a configuration file, a cache, a state directory, or a log. There is no account and nothing to sign up for.
What it does is read the files you point it at and write the files you asked for. It touches nothing else on your system, refuses to follow symbolic links out of the tree you named, and refuses output directories that nest with the input tree.
You do not have to take that on faith: the whole program is public under the MIT licence, and 2,251 lines is small enough to check.
What this website collects
Nothing. No analytics, no trackers, no advertising scripts, no third-party fonts, no tracking cookies, no embedded video, no comment system. Fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images are served from this domain only, so loading a page here contacts no other party.
The web server sees the requests it must see in order to answer them, as any internet server does. It is not used to build profiles, and nothing is shared with anyone.
Third parties
There are none. The tool contacts nobody; the website embeds nobody. Links to the source repository lead to GitHub, which is a third party with its own policies — but only if you follow one.
Correspondence
If you email NorseHorse@norsehor.se, that mail is read by one person and kept only as long as it is useful for answering you or fixing what you reported. It is never shared or sold. Sample files attached to bug reports are used for reproducing the bug and are not published without your explicit say-so. If you would rather encrypt, the PGP key is here.
Data retention and deletion
There is no data to retain. No account exists to delete, because none was ever created. Removing the tool is rm /usr/local/bin/scrubpony, and nothing is left behind.
Children
ScrubPony is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, children included — which is straightforward, given that it collects nothing at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update appears on this page with a new date. There is no re-consent flow, because there is no data collection to consent to.
